HP and Wells Fargo Bank Receive NFB - NVA Re-certification
SSB BART Group' software and methodologies for accessibility compliance have ensured that Hewlett Packard and Wells Fargo Bank will receive the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) - Non-visual Accessibility Web Application (NVA) certification that they first obtained from the NFB in 2003. The NFB-NVA certification program certifies web sites to be as accessible by blind users and those utilizing screen access technologies as by the sighted. SSB BART Group worked with Wells Fargo and HP to assess their current web accessibility status, address accessibility issues within the sites and assure readiness for re-certification by employing SSB BART Group's compliance maintenance methodology.
The re-certification of HP and Wells Fargo makes evident the increasing value of the NFB-NVA certification program in helping operators of web sites ensure web based content and services are accessible to all. Maintaining an NFB-NVA certification will allow HP and Wells Fargo to differentiate their web based content and systems in highly competitive markets and demonstrate to visitors that these sites have met the challenge of exceeding a minimum level of accessibility.
As the first organization to be certified as a Web Accessibility Consultant by the NFB, SSB BART Group monitors and adapts to changes in the web accessibility environment over time. Therefore, SSB BART Group's expertise will allow certified companies to maintain NFB-NVA certification in the face of constantly changing technology, standards and legislative requirements.
