Assessment Methodology

SSB BART Group uses a proprietary testing methodology to analyze the accessibility of your IT systems. Depending on the type of IT system being analyzed, the testing process includes:
- Automated Testing - SSB BART Group uses automated testing technology based on our award-winning InFocusT software. The first commercially available tool for finding and fixing Web site accessibility errors, InFocus includes over 115 tests covering all major international standards. Automated testing is highly effective for finding and fixing code-level accessibility errors.
- End-user Testing - SSB BART Group conducts testing by people with disabilities using leading Assistive Technologies (AT). Prior to testing, SSB BART Group works with your organization to identify functional tasks performed on your IT systems such as entering data and using the help functionality. Technologists with disabilities execute each of these test cases using relevant assistive technologies to determine the overall usability of the IT system for people with disabilities.
- Manual Review Testing - SSB BART Group's Accessibility Experts use a proprietary checklist to manually review individual components of your IT systems. Manual tests help identify complex compliance violations and the most efficient accessibility fixes.
- Prioritization - All accessibility violations are analyzed and ranked based on their impact on users with disabilities, how difficult they are to correct, and how likely the violations are to be noticed. These metrics enable your organization to prioritize corrections and gain the highest possible return on investment.
